The Pleasure Beach is now open for the 2020 season. Due to social distancing guidelines, we will be limiting our visitors on the park at any one time. We will be operating pre-paid time slots. New for 2020- The Son Of Bigfoot 4D.
Far more than just a cinema – feel the full force of a 4-D experience.
3-D imagery and special effects of lighting, moving seats, water sprays, air blasts, leg ticklers, smells and bubbles make our film ‘The Son Of Bigfoot 4-D’ an unforgettable experience.
The film is shown daily throughout the season. Our cinema is wheelchair friendly.

Big Apple CoasterX

About this ride:
The Big Apple Coaster promises high-speed fun for children.
4 passengers sit in each of the caterpillar train’s 6 cars as they rumble round an undulating 138m steel track.
It’s the perfect first taste of a rollercoaster for any child.
Before it arrived at the Pleasure Beach in 1998, The Big Apple Coaster, made by Pinfari in 1982, was a favourite at Alton Towers.
BonanzaX
Kids Ride
Ride Restrictions:
- Minimum height to ride: 1 m, may ride under this height if accompanied.
- Individual horses must only be accommodated by persons from the same household/bubble.
About this ride:
The Bonanza ride consists of 10 named individual horses which nod up and down whilst moving along a steel track. Can you name all 10 horses? The Bonanza first arrived approx. 1989.
Cups and SaucersX

About this ride:
A small Cups and Saucers style ride for the little ones consisting of 6 cups. Passengers have the choice of spinning the cups themselves. First arrived at the Pleasure Beach approx. 1993.
DiskoX
Thrill Ride
Ride Restrictions:
- Minimum height to ride: 1.2 m
- To ensure social distancing, there will be seat separation. Where 2 seats are together, these must be used by members of the same household/bubble.
About this ride:
Experience the unique sensation of the spectacular Disko as you look out across the Pleasure Beach.
This ride’s unusual feature is that the 24 riders face outwards sitting in a circle.
As the Disko starts to spin, it runs along a curved track from side-to-side in a ‘U’ shape that gives riders a “unique sensation”.
Visually stunning, the Disko was produced by Zamperla and has been at the Pleasure Beach since 2004.
DodgemsX
Family Ride
Ride Restrictions:
- Minimum height to ride: 1 m (passenger) & 1.25 m (driver)
- To assist in social distancing some cars have been removed from the track.
- Individual dodgems must only be accommodated by up to 2 persons from the same household/bubble.
About this ride:
Old favourites never go out of fashion. Our Dodgems are as popular today as they were when the track was laid in 1968.
The cars have been replaced over the years though!
Each car takes 2 passengers.
Family StarX
Family Ride

About this ride:
The spectacular spinning coaster Family Star arrived here at the Pleasure Beach in 2013 and has already become one of the most popular rides on the park, spinning thrill-seekers into a frenzy of excitement.
Flying DumboX
Family Ride
Ride Restrictions:
- Minimum height to ride: 1.2 m. Children between 0.9m and 1.2m may be accompanied by a more mature fare paying person.
- Individual Dumbos must only be accommodated by up to 2 persons from the same household/bubble.
About this ride:
The Flying Dumbo, holds a maximum of 24 passengers. Each of the 12 cars is mounted on an articulated armature connected to a rotating hub. The ride rotates at a constant speed.
The Flying Dumbo ride arrived at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach in 2017.
Formula OneX
Kids Ride
Ride Restrictions:
- No babies in arms. This ride is for CHILDREN ONLY
- To ensure social distancing there will be seat separation. Persons riding in cars that can accommodate more than one person must be from the same household/bubble.
About this ride:
The Formula One ride, which arrived in 1991, consists of a train of different-themed vehicles which laps a small circuit including over a humpback bridge. This ride is for children only. Will you ride the boat, the racing car, the motorbike, the fire engine, the choice is yours?
FreefallX

About this ride:
Freefall is a small tower ride which rotates as you ride. It arrived at the Pleasure Beach at the start of the 2015 season.
Fun FactoryX
Family Ride
Ride Restrictions:
- Minimum height to ride: 1.1 m. May ride under this height if accompanied. No open-toe shoes permitted.
- Social distancing must be adhered to at times throughout this attraction. Any groups entering together must be from the same household/bubble.
About this ride:
The Fun Factory is an enclosed themed walk through ride with moving floors. For health and safety reasons customers are not allowed to wear open-toed shoes on this ride.
Previously called the Fun House, the attraction was refurbished in the winter of 2018 and renamed the Fun Factory.

Retro Ride
Ride Restrictions:

About this ride:
A traditional ride that never loses its appeal. The 30 horses and 2 chariots made by Savage’s in 1901 inspire nostalgia and has been carrying riders for well over 100 years.
Haunted HotelX

About this ride:
The Haunted House is a classic at any amusement park. Here at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach the Haunted Hotel consists of 2 passengers riding in a themed car along a track in an enclosed themed haunted hotel.
The Haunted Hotel was renovated in the winter of 2019.

Log Flume X
Thrill Ride
Ride Restrictions:

About this ride:
The Log Flume, with its plunges and splashes, was an instant success when it opened in front of the main gate in 1989.
It remains one of our most popular rides and is a great way to cool off on a hot summer’s day.
Travelling along water-filled circuits, passengers in fibreglass boats – up to 5 per boat – feel a full force plummet after conveyor belts pull them up to 5, 8, then 11 metres before they plunge to ground level giving the riders a real soaking.

About this ride:
The Monorail has 8, four-seated cars of which 5 can be on the track at any one time. Sit back, relax and enjoy the views of the Pleasure Beach as the themed monorail car slowly makes its way round the track, over the Snails and through the Rollercoaster. The Monorail was first seen at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach over thirty years ago in 1987.

Ride on the world’s first of a kind for 2020
Pilot your own Lightning Jet, with interactive controls. You can perform a Barrel Roll, ascend and descend and, for the fearless, do both!

About this ride:
This huge swinging gondola is another fantastic ride from Zamperla acquired from Whitley Bay in 2001.
Up to 33 passengers can swing on an A-frame way into the air controlled by one large hydraulically driven tyre on a pivoted beam, with another large tyre controlling the braking.

About this ride:
The Raft Ride, first came to the Pleasure Beach in 2008, has 8 raft themed cars which rotate round a central column. Passengers have the option of independently moving the rafts up and down themselves when pressing a small button located on the individual raft.
Reverse Time X
Thrill Ride
Ride Restrictions:
- Minimum height to ride: 1.2 m
- To ensure social distancing, there will be seat separation. Where 2 seats are together, these must be used by members of the same household/bubble.
About this ride:
Reverse Time holds 24 passengers seated in a circular configuration facing outwards. As the ride starts to spin, it is lifted into the air with the supporting turntable rotating in the opposite direction. Guests will dip and dive as the ride reaches a maximum of 20 revolutions per minute. Mid-cycle the ride will change direction adding to the excitement and the experience.
The Reverse Time arrived at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach at the beginning of the 2017 season.
Roller CoasterX

About this ride:
Our traditional wooden rollercoaster is undoubtedly the star attraction at the Pleasure Beach.
It opened in 1932, and visitors return year after year to enjoy the thundering ride they remember as children.
Built in France in 1928, it has a single pull-up and, once the train has left the top, it travels under gravity until it arrives back at the station – thrilling every passenger on the way.
3 trains, each carrying up to 30 people, can be used on the track at one time. A seated operator controls the brakes at the rear of the first carriage on each train. Unusually, there are no brakes fitted to the track at all.

About this ride:
Standing 22 metres tall above the seafront fun is our magnificent Sky Drop.
Shipped in from Italy where it was made by leading ride designer and producer Zamperla, the Sky Drop opened in 2004 and its pneumatic cylinders launch 16 passengers at a time into the sky for panoramic views of the beach, sea, town, seafront attractions and for miles around.
Snails and Fairy TalesX

About this ride:
Children – and grown-ups too – adore riding in our Snails among favourite fairy tale, nursery rhyme and cartoon characters through magical scenes indoors and out.
They especially love the famous giant who stands guard outside. The Snails have been at the Pleasure Beach since 1966 and were manufactured by Wadbrooke/Bottons.
TwisterX
Retro Ride

About this ride:
The Twister, another classic ride at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach, consists of 3 arms with 4 cars on each arm. The arms spin anti-clockwise while the cars spin independently on each arm. The Twister arrived approx. in 1999.
WhirlwindX

- Seat pairs must only be accommodated by up to 2 persons from the same household/bubble.
About this ride:
The Whirlwind is a figure of 8 rollercoaster ride. The train consists of 4 cars, each of which can accommodate up to 4 people sitting back to back. As the train flies around the track the cars spin independently of each other. The Whirlwind arrived at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach in June 2015.
Yo-YoX

About this ride:
The Yo-Yo ride which can accommodate 16 passengers, consists of 8 seats suspended from arms which rotate round a central point. As the ride starts the seats go up and down much like a yo-yo does. The Yo-Yo first arrived at the Pleasure Beach in the year 2000.
